  • Welcome to the MAGIC JUST FOR YOU online magic shop. Our goal is to supply the best magic tricks, illusions, and theatrical special effects to amateur and professional magicians.

Stage illusions are large-scale magic tricks. As the name implies, stage illusions are distinct from all other types of magic in that they are performed a considerable distance away from the audience, usually on a stage, in order to maintain the illusion.

Use the menu at the left of this page to browse through our range of Stage Illusions and Magic Tricks.

The tricks in this section are designed to be performed on a stage. But you do not have to be on a stage to perform them as long as you are at least two metres from your audience. certain tricks are more suited to stage magic than to close up magic.

The props used may be too large or cumbersome for close up work, for example, or it may be that the secret would be revealed if the magician is too close up to the audience. To a magician an illusion is a big spectacular trick usually involving people or animals. Many magicians are famous for partticular illusions they have created.

In most cases illusions require expensive equipment which puts them beyond the means of most amateur and many professional magicians.

Any way check out Stage Illusions on the menu opposite im sure you will find something.

O.K. here's where the fun begins, a few free secrets to get you started, ill begin with a Stage Effect that has baffled audiences for years and if done with a lot of flair will get your name up in lights, its called
    THE GIANT MEMORY.
Equipment: A blackboard or paper, chalk or a felt tip pen.

One by one members of the audience call out the names of ten objects which you write on the board against the numbers one to ten. The board is then placed where you cannot see it and yet you can immediately give the correct number for each object, the object at each number, call the objects out in their corrct order and, as a finale to a convincing demonstration of your fantastic memory, call out all the objects in reverse order!

    HOW IS IT DONE:
There is no trickery involved in this demonstration and the same principle can be used to memorize any list of objects such as shopping lists, or a list of facts for an examination. First you must learn thoroughly the following key words: you will see that they rhyme with their paired number which makes them easy to remember.
    1. Bun 2. Shoe 3. Tree 4. Door 5. Hive 6. Sticks 7. Heaven 8. Gate 9. Mine 10. Hen

As each object is called you form a mental picture of the object with you key word for that number. For example: if someone shouts out 'glue' for number one you could imagine eating a bun and getting your teeth stuck together. Make your mental picture as funny as possible and it will be easier to remember. Form this picture in your mind while writing the word 'glue' on the board and when you are ready ask for the next object. With each object in the list you form a mental picture connecting the object with the appropriate key word.

When you have written down ten objects the board is turned away so you cannot see the list. Then you ask people to call out any number from one to ten. As soon as the number is called think of the key word for that number: the picture that you formed will pop automatically into your mind, and you can say what the object is. If an object is called, think of the picture and that will give you the key word which tells you the number. As a finale, run through the numbers both forwards and backwards calling out the objects. Practice hard and you will have a winner.
